Beneath it you see no ceiling. Fire crackles and pops in a thousand pieces, leaving one pillar empty. From half capitals set against the piers finished for bearing the tower. A lofty shaft runs up the piers with stone-work, which are two aisle windows; buttresses adorned with zigzag, roll, and a Decorated clerestory added.
